Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Wash and soak barley for 1-2 hours then boil the soaked barley in 5 cups of water.

  • Step 2

    Close the lid and let it simmer on medium heat for about 15 minutes.

  • Step 3

    Once the barley is tender, add the spices, salt and the veggies. Turn off the heat.

  • Step 4

    Close the lid for 5 minutes. Open the lid and garnish with cococonut oil and fresh cilantro.
